INAMINATION…“where the tribes gather and commune!” “INAMI”…the reverse spelling of the Swahili word “IMANI”, which means faith. We chose this name of our enterprise for a couple of reasons first, because of the metaphoric action of stepping out on faith–a state of mind to which any person that chooses to launch a business enterprise can identify–secondly, we liked the sound of of the word itself. It sounds sweet, funky and it’s got soul and rhythm.
INAMI COMMUNICATIONS actually began life in 1977 as R2 PRODUCTIONS; a mobile dance company and community events organizer. We parleyed those skills into producing and hosting a radio show on KZZK FM (Pasco, WA) in 1980. By 1991 the company had relocated to the Puget Sound area of Washington state and re-invented itself into a reseller of pre-owned childcare equipment. The evolution of computer technology spurred the expansion of entrepreneurial initiatives that included socio-educational consultation with a bent toward technological implementation. The business name INAMI COMMUNICATIONS was adopted in 1992.
We’re back into the new media and have created a “nation” of thinkers and doers to come into our corner of cyberspace to exchange ideas and dialog with each other in the spirit of truth. This will be the place for us all to keep a proper perspective on everything going on around us…and boy there is a lot going on!
